Marco

Millie stretched alongside me in the bed, and I knew she was awake. We hadn’t mentioned my admission of love since I’d made it at the club a few nights ago, and I still wasn’t sure how she felt about me. We’d spent the weekend shopping and sightseeing and making love, but we hadn’t had any serious conversations.

Had I come on too strong? Did beating that guy up in the club turn her off? Maybe she thought I was too violent or too possessive, or maybe she thought I was crazy. I didn’t know what she was thinking, but I needed to figure it out. I was going insane not knowing how she felt. Not knowing if she wanted to be mine.

Today was the day I was going to get some answers. Millie’s flight was leaving in the early afternoon, so I only had the morning to figure out what she wanted and if I was a part of the equation. Already I was sad at the thought of her leaving. I hadn’t realized just how lonely my life had been before her. I had never wanted any intimacy from anyone else before she’d wormed her way into my heart. Now I could admit that sleeping with lots of women had never fulfilled me.

Now that I’d met Millie, I realized that there was so much more to the world, and I wanted to see it and experience it with her. I had never thought I wanted to be a world explorer, but now I wanted to venture over the highest mountains, through the hottest deserts, and lie on the whitest beaches with her.

Life as I knew it was not enough for me anymore. I wanted to experience the highest highs and the lowest lows. I was willing to put all of my emotions on the line if it meant that Millie would give me a chance. She was everything that I hadn’t realized was missing in my life. She was the sunshine on cloudy days, she was the rain in times of droughts, she was the light in the darkest nights, and she had made me realize that my heart was still beating and ready for love. Every time I looked at her face I wanted to kiss her and tell her how much I adored her, but I was scared that she wouldn’t say it back again. I had never been this vulnerable in my life before, but as much as it scared me, I wanted to take the leap.

Millie opened her eyes and looked up at me with a sweet, sleepy smile on her face, and I knew that I would carry this memory for the rest of my life. She was so beautiful, so trusting, and so full of humor and sensitivity. I knew she was too good for me but that didn’t stop me from wanting her.

I didn’t want to let her go.

”Morning, sleepyhead.” I kissed her, my heart bursting as she kissed me back passionately.

“Morning.” She brushed my cheek with her fingertips. “Why do you have that weird look on your face?”

“I was just thinking.”

“What were you thinking?”

“I was just thinking about the time you tried to call me a one-night stand.” I laughed as she blushed. “And now here we are and I’ve been inside of you on more than one occasion. Definitely more than one night.”

“Marco.” She said my name in that sexy way of hers, and my cock hardened.

“You wanna know something?” I ran my fingers across her lips and cheekbones.

“What?”

“You remember that first time I saw you?” I gazed down at her, love pouring from my soul.

“Yes.” She nodded.

“I think that the very first time I saw you, I fell in love and from the way you smiled at me, I think you knew.”

“You love me?” Her eyes studied mine and I could see a familiar emotion in them. “You really love me?” She sounded disbelieving.

“I told you already.” I frowned. “Yes, I love you, Millie.”

“I wasn’t sure because we were at the club, and well, you never said it again.” She looked unsure and I kissed her softly.

“I never said it again because you didn’t say anything, but you’re leaving today and I can’t let that be the last time I tell you. I love you with my whole heart. I think it was love at first sight. I want you to be my girlfriend, Millie. I want us to travel the world together.” My voice cracked. “I want to make all your dreams come true. You’re everything to me. Absolutely everything.”

“You truly love me.” Tears rolled out of her eyes and she kissed me. “Oh, Marco, I love you so much. Oh, you don’t even know how much I love you!” She held my head and kissed me. “I love you with the light of a thousand moons. I will never stop loving you.”

“Oh, Millie, you don’t know how happy you make me.” I pulled her tightly into my arms and ran my fingers along her collarbone and down toward her breasts. “Cancel your trip back to SF, stay with me,” I whispered, knowing it was a lot to ask. “I don’t want to be without you.”

“I can’t.” She shook her head. “My job means a lot to me, and I don’t want to let Tate down or the other girls.”

“Then I’ll come with you.” I held her to me, knowing that I’d follow her across the world if I had to. “I’m not spending any more of my life without you in it. I’m done with the bars and partying. The only woman I want in my life is you, and I’ll do everything that I can to make you happy and ensure all your dreams come true. I might have been your first one-night stand, Millie, but you’re going to be my last.”

“Oh, yeah?” She smiled teasingly and squeezed my cock. I groaned as her fingers ran down my shaft.

“Oh, yeah. There’s nobody else for either of us from here on out. We’re each other's forever love.” I kissed the tip of her nose. “And now I need you on top of me so that I can prove to you just why I’m the perfect guy for you.”
