“Are you hungry, princess?” I looked at Mia, and she had a frown on her face.
“We need to tell her.” Her arms were crossed, and she was leaning to one side. She meant business.
“Right this second? We are at the most magical place on earth, little girl. You should be enjoying yourself.” We were waiting for Lada and Bee to get out of the bathroom when Mia told me about her new vision.
Yesterday, after an amazing four-hour fuck marathon, we went to a store and bought Lada a white dress. I called our priest and our friends and told them to meet us at our church at seven p.m. We also bought rings and two pink dresses for the girls. While I drove, Lada went on her phone and reserved a hotel and tickets to take the girls to Disney World in Orlando. That would be our first family vacation.
Our wedding was fast and simple. We could not wait to live the rest of our lives. She looked amazing walking down the aisle in a white skintight dress and her fiery mane cascading across her breasts. We said our “I do’s,” had dinner with our friends, and caught a plane in the middle of the night. After sleeping in, there we were at Disney, eating junk and riding rollercoasters. I’d given the doctor a call to make sure Lada was fine, and he’d said to take it easy, but she could travel. She was so happy after we’d made love.
Her jealousy was something I had not been expecting. She insisted all those women were after me. At the hospital, school, at church, and basically everywhere we went. If she only knew my heart only had one owner. Lada, forever and always. I stood yesterday at the altar and finally said the words that I needed to say to make her mine forever. We did not want to be apart from the girls, so a proper honeymoon would have to wait. None of us had been to Disney, so we were all excited. I didn’t want to ruin it. Scare her off, ruin her day. Today was our first day as a family. We all needed that.
After the last rollercoaster, Mia had turned to me and said, “I need to tell you something.” She’d been shaking but trying to act as if everything was fine. But she could not wait any longer.
“It was real. We need to tell her. I saw Bee in darkness. The same darkness. It felt the same.” She looked desperate and scared. Her little brown eyes had a mix of fear and anger. I picked her up and tried to absorb her pain and worry.
“We’ll tell her right now, my little princess. Don’t worry. I’ll fix it. No one will touch Bee.” Lada saw us and jogged her way back to us with Bee by her side.
“What’s the matter, Mia?” She looked at me for answers. Mia would not let me go.
“Baby, we need to talk,” I regrettably told my wife.
We went into one of the restaurants and bought the girls ice cream sundaes. Right next to our table, the girls sat and ate their yummy treat and colored while I was able to break the news to Lada. Mia entertained Bee so I could talk to their mom and figure out what the hell we were going to do next.
“Can you talk already? You’re scaring me.” She spoke in Russian and looked back at the girls with worry.
“Mia had a vision last night. She saw Bee in darkness. She felt the same darkness from her last vision before our mission. It’s Jezebel.”
The panic in her face scared me. What were we going to do? Should we call the Agency? Victor? Go back home? Lock her up and be on a twenty-four-seven Bee watch? What could we do? How could we protect her? I’d just gotten my family together after a whole year; there was no way I would lose any of them again.
