Sexually Speaking Illustrations

These illustrations cover three main topics: the female reproductive system and genitalia, how to do a breast exam, and proper condom usage.

A woman’s internal genitalia include the vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. After sexual intercourse, sperm travel up through the uterus and into the fallopian tubes toward an egg that has been released by one of the ovaries.

A monthly breast self-exam can detect signs of breast cancer in between your yearly visit to the gynecologist. With your arm raised overhead, gently palpate your breast with the opposite hand in a counterclockwise fashion. Be sure to also palpate the tissue near the armpit.
