Help is all around us. Help is at every hand. Help is just waiting to meet and greet us. We are the ones who insist there is no help. Our hearts are closed to the many gentle forms of help that are offered to our suffering souls. What we are after, all that we need, is a sip of water. Our challenge is finding water when we are in a spiritual drought. We need the gentle drought of encouragement, the water of spiritual truth. “There is a God,” we need to hear. “You are cared for,” we need to believe.
