Help me to become more teachable. Help me to become more open. Help me to see your face in every face; your hand in every hand. Give me a child’s delight in the world that you have fashioned. Help me to know that I can work with you and play with you to fashion the world still further. Give me a sense of your power and your majesty. Give me a graceful heart that acknowledges the Great Maker in all that has been made. Help me to know that I am an artist companioned by the Great Artist. Allow me to make my inventions as part of a greater whole. Help me to make all days, good days. Help me to create knowing that in fact I cocreate. Help me to be small that I may be a part of Something very large. Help me to revel in life’s God-made delight.
