It is difficult to overemphasize the amount of care that must be taken to protect our writing. While we cannot control or in any way guarantee our writing’s reception in the public sphere, we can control and to a degree guarantee the reception of our writing in the private sphere. Do not be self-destructive in your choice of early readers.
