SHANDIE REACHED FOR the ice cream and wooden spoon Carlisle offered her, grinning as she leaned back on the couch beside her husband. “I think he’s at her house, right now. I can totally picture Colin dropping her guard and falling in love.”
“In one night?” Carlisle cocked an eyebrow at his wife, eating from his own pint-sized container of ice cream. “I don’t think Colin would do that.”
“Oh, Carlisle. Colin’s been falling for him for a while.” Shandie would never admit to tracking Colin’s emails. She worried about her friend and since she couldn’t leave the house because of her agoraphobia, Shandie had to rely on her computer skills to keep her in the know.
Once she sensed that Colin had feelings for Jaxon, she’d stopped tracking the emails and let Colin figure it out on her own.
But waiting was excruciating and Shandie had the patience of a gnat. She flipped to the latest Bachelor season and lifted her legs to snuggle up to Carlisle. “Do you think he’ll make her happy?”
“As happy as us, love.” Carlisle bent his head almost absently and kissed the top of Shandie’s head.
Shandie didn’t take him for granted. He was her everything and she was so glad that Colin had found her second chance at happiness.
ClickandWed was just getting started at fixing the lives it encountered. Shandie hoped there were many more connections ahead. She couldn’t wait to see what was in store.
