I had never begrudged anyone’s presence more than I did Gabe’s that day. His absence had me walking around the house more times than I would like to count almost pining for him to be close. I decided to sit on the couch and read the last of the romance novel that the old woman in the diner gave me.
Satisfied by the ending that if happened in reality, I would vomit. I snapped the book shut and poured my first whiskey straight. I ventured back to my room and took out the Trinity necklace from my safe. I was certain that Gabe wasn’t coming back today. Although seeming like a dog in heat for him, I was satisfied to know I would have time and luxury to explore my private dimension again. I slipped it on and was instantly transported to the barren world I so fondly felt comfortable in. Crows squawked around me as if my arrival had disturbed them. I looked into the direction that I had last explored which led me to nothing and headed into the opposite one.
I walked for a while. My dress drifted behind me in a never ending cloth vapor. The sky was grey and dull with very little light. I continued for another ten minutes on an incline before standing at the top of the hill. Beyond the hill was great walls to a city. I wasn’t foolish to think that I might be the only one on this planet but from where I stood it seemed abandoned. I cautiously walked over the hill making sure not to walk into any obvious traps.
The bricked walls were tall and I could imagine the days when warriors of what every species of demon lived here, might’ve monitored and guarded atop the wall. I walked through the abolished wooden gates that splintered over the ground. As soon as I stepped through to have a closer look, a red laser type scan buzzed over my body. I prepared myself to fight an impostor, but there was no one. Only a little small levitating dome that had scanned me. It flashed the color green and then vanished into the distance. Odd little fellow.
The dust swelled around me from a low breeze as I looked behind me and noticed that the tall cemented wall was the second threshold. The city glowed with a light blue lighting. A second layer of wall surrounded me as a defense force. I imagined if it considered me an enemy that it would push me out. An interesting layer of defense. Whatever species of demon they are, they’re clever and advanced in their technology. Whoever had defeated them must’ve found their weakness. I continued to walk through as noises swept around me. Lights and voices whispered from screens of music and commercials which now stayed on the same scene, looping because of the damage it had taken. I looked down admiring the singular blue glow that would advance under my foot as I stepped. I came to a fork in what I considered to be the city.
The architecture was sleek and beautiful. Metal and white. Even the dusty ground I had once walked on is now polished flooring through the entire estate. The dress I wore seemed to sparkle against the flooring as if enjoying the life brought back to it. The entire city felt alive. From what I could see or sense no one lived within it but the entire city seemed to have a life force of its own which rubbed against that of my own skin.
I looked down the two paths unsure of which way I should go.
“Hello Lady Trie’,” a hologram of a sleek blue woman spoke before sparkles of her form came from the ground and manifested before me. She looked as solid as any real person might be. She wore slimming silver wear and cusped her hands delicately in front of her. Her black hair was slicked back tightly as she smiled with expectation.
“What are you?” I asked her.
“I am one of your many assistants designed to support and do as you bid. What would you like to do today?” her voice was milky and placid.
“Are you a real demon?” I asked.
“No, I was created by your people. Would you like location to be saved to your Trinity Necklace as last checkpoint?” she asked.
“And what demon is that?” I asked ignoring the last question. What homeland was this and to what demon? Who had destroyed them?
“With your best interest Lady Trie’ I have saved this as your check point. Your next appearance will allow you to instantly come back here.” She charmed a smile. Before I could ask her another question, instinct hit my stomach and I pulled my necklace off. The world around me collapsed as I was thrown back into the visual of my reality and walk in robe.
“Vi, let’s start getting ready!” Destiny was banging on the door. “Glorious sex won’t just come find us. We have to go out and catch it!”
I quickly shoved the necklace back into my safe and opened the door.
She already had a flask in hand. “I could use that,” I said grabbing it. “I’m over this week already.”
“That’s why I brought this,” she said pulling out a bottle with her own empty glass. She pushed me aside and walked into my room. It was daring for her but expected with what has been happening lately. I knew that Haymen had her watching me carefully.
“No stalker angel in here if that’s what you’re after. I think he might’ve finally gotten the message,” I said walking her into my walk in wardrobe anticipating the clothes I would wear for tonight.
“Well he is a fine specimen. Hard not to want to tap a war angel and then leave him in the dirt,” she said fishing and indiscreetly as well.
“I had my fill with the last angel I fucked. I don’t need a trend. I need a demon to fulfil me tonight,” I said searching through the racks. She went to speak again but I gave her an effective look. If she continued to pry it would end in only one way. And that would be bloodshed. Enough of these games and tracking.
She charmed a smile and filled her own glass. “Well then, let’s get you fucked by a demon,” she said smiling as she took a sip.
After the first two bottles went down swimmingly, Tahmeed joined us. I enjoyed the nulling companionship. I needed to distance myself as much as possible from the current pull I had on Gabe and his disappearance was blissful by my logic just as much as it was spited by my ruling connection to him.
I zipped a tight leather skirt that didn’t leave much to the imagination, with leather boots that went past my knees. A one-sided sleeved silk grey shirt assured my new tattoo was covered but allowed the others to scandalously show. I straightened my usual curly crimson hair and opted for a night dye instead. I swept the little gadget through my hair that changed the illusion of my hair color from red to blonde. I put it up in a high ponytail and anticipated what the night might be like. This was a night for both pleasure and business.
I would distract everyone with my public party habits clubbing at Ravish and slip later on to the black market where I could find the answers I have been waiting for all week. Much to our surprise Alexa decided to tag along and chose not to drink. Which in previous years was rare for the renowned alcoholic Guardian. But the thing was, it wasn’t really Alexa anymore and I wondered if the other Guardians have noticed yet.
Hours later we found ourselves on the doorstep of Ravish, walking past the line-up of those who waited and hoped they would be allowed in tonight. A group of girls screamed as we walked past them and reached out for us. I walked further away so they wouldn’t touch me. We ignored them and continued walking through to the security who greeted us promptly and scanned us in the dome one by one to make sure we didn’t conceal any weapons.
It didn’t take us long to take to the bar. Tahmeed was in her usual ‘party’ demon form seeking out her preferred type. No one was here yet and she seemed disappointed. Instead she grabbed one of the fish out of the small holes in the bar. She swallowed it and hissed as it cut its way down her throat. She was definitely in for a party night. I quickly made my way to the dance floor before they could offer me one. I needed to make sure that they were too drunk to consider tracking me. I needed to keep somewhat sober for the end of the night. I looked at the clock. I had about two hours to kill and could fit something or should I say someone in that time.
I looked around the bar and found a few interested patrons. I began to dance, my hips swaying in an inviting manner. It wasn’t long until Tahmeed and Alexa joined me. Destiny chose to enjoy her time with her favored human bar tender, Brady.
It wasn’t long until we found ourselves circled by a few humans and demons. Admittedly it has been a very long time since I had fucked a human and it piqued my interest. Instead of hot hard sex I felt like something innocent and pure. They were unknowing to the aphrodisiac I could create. There was a tall blonde man with blue eyes. As far as humans went he was attractive and very fit. I don’t think you could drain much of a conversation out of him, but I wasn’t after chit chat. When I got closer I realized my mistake–he was a hybrid. A weak demon that must’ve had one human parent. His skin heated with a complex tan that wasn’t of human origin. His thin thread like pointed ears were what gave away the human appearance.
I was impressed by the inferior demon who despite being weak knew his beauty and approached me with a cocky smile.
“I wanted to call you over to the bar but I imagined you weren’t one to come when told, so instead I thought I might come and collect you instead,” he said offering his hand.
“You certainly have some balls considering your inferior disposition,” I said. He shrugged his shoulders not at all discouraged.
“Where I lack in power I make up for in other departments. I can only distort demon’s presences, make them near invisible to others. An ability that is limited but both handy,” he said with a suave smile. Everyone else in the room began to vanish one by one as he smiled. “I could make you cum anywhere you want to in the world, inconspicuously.” The charade dropped and everyone crowded around us once again. Or should I say they had been the entire time. My demons fed me knowledge of his kind. Rather common and weak but that little trick of his could give me a few hours to kill in a back alleyway and then furthermore into a black market while hiding from a certain angel.
“Tell you what,” I said curling my fingers around his neck with a smile. “You know who I am, yes?” And he nodded. This was certainly going to be one of those treats that he would talk about for years. “Say we have fun for the next few hours in an alleyway. And by fun, I mean you better be balls deep in me making me scream as rubble scratches against my back.”
He chuckled and furled his arms around me. He was an attractive creature. For a demon who could conceal the presence of someone he certainly had a presence himself. I looked around the room and noticed the fellow gawkers. It appeared the human women and men had a keen eye trained on him. “But afterwards I need you to conceal my presence for a few hours. Can you do that for me?”
He smiled and his grip firmed on my hip. The single gesture spread warmth across my body as it began to yearn for the one thing it had been denied for days. The tattoo that connected me to Gabe seemed to burn at the betrayal which only infuriated me more. I had to do this. I had to rid of this spell no matter how illogical or how much it actually made my stomach flip. All I could visualize was this to be Gabe instead and every part of me tried to push away that attachment.
“I don’t even have to be present to conceal your presence. Tell me for how long and you’ll vanish from the world,” he said breathing lightly before pressing his lips onto mine. The room seemed to spin and everything else became irrelevant. We had vanished from the world and surprisingly that vile feeling that began to rise up my throat with thoughts of Gabe fled too.
My entire body and focus was on this stunning demon who I didn’t even need to know his name. He was my tool that would finally unleash this build-up of sexual frustration that had been gaining for far too long.
It wasn’t long before he had my back up against the outside walls in the alleyway as promised. I moaned and groaned as people at the end of the alleyway still waited in line. No one could see us or even hear us but the rustle of trash cans being thrown about might’ve creeped a few of them out.
Despite his rather feathery touch, my beautiful demon was rough in all the right places and I would’ve thought he was more prone to be a sex demon than anything else. I moaned as he pumped me for those hours which filled the time and had me climaxing more than once. His hands and lips that pressed against throat was exactly what I needed. Just a casual fuck. Not an intense claiming of an angel or domineering of a propaganda demon boss.
I moaned into the beautiful demon’s mouth as he continued to pump into me. The distraction and absence from the world was just what I needed to kill time.
