Most of my books start from dreams. It so happened with First to Fall (Moonlight Rogues, #1), that after years of avoiding the paranormal romance genre, I was sucked in by a very demanding wolf – Dominic Kosta. And as his story developed, so did Tristan’s, Finn’s, and Lucas’. And I ended up with another series!
Make no mistake: these wolves are not easy to understand. They’re complex, standoffish at times, but good at their core. Each deals with a past that’s not all cut and dry, and it doesn’t help that that they each come from various cultural background – with their own demons, superstitions, and enemies. To top it off? These wolves are fiercely protective of their mates, which more often than not lands them into trouble.
So when Dom’s story was done, I thought that was it. He’d show up in the subsequent books, add to the plot, and then they’d all they get their happily ever after. Well, my wolves had other ideas. Nights of constant repeat dreams of their “before” stories resulted in, well, me giving in.
Hence, I present you Moonlight Rogues: Origins. A compilation of four short stories depicting the wolves’ journeys before they all knew each other... And way before their adventures in Rockland Creek. Plus, you’ll also see aspects of various types of werewolves. Each one of my wolves has a particular power/ability and folkloric background. Though I’m only giving you enough here to whet the appetite, you’ll learn more about their in-depth strengths throughout the series. And for any of my Romanian fans, you may find a fun surprise at the end... Ileana Cosânzeana and Făt Frumos are characters in Romanian folklore similar to a good witch and Prince Charming, and they do make an appearance in my series ☺
Also, at the end of each short story, you’ll get a chance to either skip to the preview for their actual book, or you’ll find a link to my website, where each book has its purchase links. ☺
One last note before I move on to the acknowledgements: these short stories, and the books that follow them, are for an 18+ audience. While the short stories are devoid of sex, they do contain swearing and violence. The books depict sex scenes (not erotica), and contain swearing as well. Some deal with rougher subjects like PTSD and mental health, as well. It is never my intention to offend anyone, hence why I’m providing this little heads up.
Now, to the best part! I want to give a HUGE thanks to my mom for encouraging me; to my husband for his never-ending support and curiosity about this series; to my furbabies, for being a constant source of inspiration; to the editing and beta reading them – thank you!!! Special kudos to Y. Nikolova with Ammonia Book Covers, for the epic cover!
And last but not least, thanks to my readers!
Happy readings,
Alexa
