Nestled between mountains as old as time, under a blood-red sunset, lost amid fog... Was a small house. Shaped on the outside like a regular building with white walls and windows, it had a slightly slanted tip, as if the architect had purposefully decided to throw some chaos into an otherwise symmetrical building. One other thing caught the eye. If one looked at it under the stars, the house sparkled – like a thousand diamonds. And in the sunset light, it appeared bathed in hopes, dreams, and warmth.
Flames could be seen through the windows, and inside it, a couple was slow dancing to a music only they could hear. The man was tall, with wavy blonde hair to his shoulders, eyes the color of the moon, and a face as beautiful as it was impossible to look at. At odds with the environment, he was dressed in a brand-name suit, its darkness in stark contrast to the colorful interior of the house.
The woman in his arms was his complete opposite. Long, wavy brown hair cascaded to her waist, eyes the color of the sun, and a smile as beautiful as spring. As they danced around to the melody of their love, their forms became fluid, like water, and retained a glow about them.

The man, Făt Frumos, frowned. “I do not like it.”
“Nor I, dragul meu. But if you have survived in the mortal world, and not given in to their temptations, I do believe I can do the same.”
Făt Frumos laughed, his head thrown back as a rumble shook his entire body. Then he recovered and leaned his forehead against Ileana’s. “You know I only do so, to protect our daughter.”
Ileana’s smile was brighter than the sun, making her eyes practically glow. “Da, I know. But I miss you.”
He moved closer, grasping her waist once more. “And you truly believe love will save them all?”
Ileana glanced around his shoulder to the little fireplace that was burning. In its flames, she could clearly see four men – four wolves – as different as they could be, hanging out in a human bar. Her smile turned speculative. “I believe so, dragul meu.”
“Then let that be the last of it,” he murmured against her head, and dropped his mouth to hers. “Time for your attention to focus on me alone, iubirea mea.”
Ileana’s soft laugh echoed the twinkling stars that night...
