Nathan was driving over to the site the Murdochs had purchased for their new home to be built. He had been working on the job for just over a month, and his company was making fantastic progress. The foundation was laid. The walls, windows, and the roof were completely installed. Everything was coming along beautifully, and he couldn’t be more proud. Shortly after nine in the morning his cell went off.
Answering the phone and receiving the information from the caller was not something Nathan ever thought he would have to hear or go through. He was shaking so badly and fearing he might have a heart attack.
All he could think about was Natasha and getting to her. Turning his truck around and stepping on the gas...he had to get back to Nat.
When he called Donna, he tried to stress to her that she needed to get over to Natasha and Damon’s immediately.
“Why?”
He could hear fear in his wife’s voice. “My sis...sister...” Nathan could barely get the words out of his mouth. He felt numb and scared shitless.
“What do you mean, your sister?” Donna asked him, starting to get worked up. “What’s wrong with Natasha?”
“Natalie...”
“What do you mean, Natalie?”
“They called me from Italy...she was in an accident. And because I was her contact number...they told me to get over there...” Nathan said, having pulled over to the shoulder of the road. He couldn’t keep his emotions from coming out, or stop the river of tears from flowing.
A couple hours later, Donna, Damon, Natasha, Nathan, Siena, and the kids were all at the private airstrip, boarding Damon’s private jet. Once they were all belted in, the pilot entered the jet. They all watched as the pilot asked Damon, “Sir, are you ready?”
Damon nodded his head, then sat beside his wife while Nathan had Donna wrapped up in his arms. Their children were in the bedroom of the jet with their gGrandmother. Siena was able to take the time off to be there to support her family. Nathan just prayed they made it in time...
