Chapter 34

Alex left the stretch limousine first. He raced out of the car and to the front door of his father’s home. He tried the door but it was locked. Before Alex could start pounding, Steve put his key in the lock. Alex pushed the door back and spotted Billy and his dad fast asleep on the sofa. He walked closer to them.

Steve entered the house and picked up Mark’s jacket. The rest of the gang came inside behind him.

Alex held his finger to his lips and pointed to the two sleeping men.

Steve relayed it to the rest of the gang. They entered the house quietly and stood in the living room staring at them.

Josh said, “Well, that’s kind of cute.”

“At least they’re not fucking.”

Mickey whacked Jeff on the chest for the comment.

Adam laughed. “No, they’re not fucking.”

Billy began to come around. He opened his eyes and seemed surprised so many of them had come.

Alex sat beside Billy and looked down at his dad. “He’s asleep?”

“Shit.” Billy shook Mark.

“What?” Alex looked at Steve.

“Did he take something?” Steve hurried closer.

Blake and Hunter rushed to Mark.

Blake touched Mark’s neck and Hunter opened Mark’s eyelids. “He’s breathing fine.” Blake pinched Mark’s arm, apparently hard.

“Ouch!” Mark sat up.

A sigh of relief filled the house.

“Thank fuck.” Billy rubbed his face.

Mark swatted Blake. “Why did you do that?” He rubbed his arm.

Alex started to laugh. He didn’t know why. He doubled over with laughter, holding his stomach as he did.

As if his laughter was contagious or a welcome relief to the group, it caught on until they were all laughing.

Mark kept rubbing his arm and asked, “Are you insane?”

Billy reached for Alex. Alex kissed him and leaned on his shoulder. “It was my fault, Chief. I didn’t warn you.”

“I told you to!” Mark wagged his finger at Alex. He then scolded Blake again, “Why did you do that?” He tried to look at his arm.

“He’s alive!” Jeff teased.

“Did he suck you off?” Alex asked Billy, his tongue in his cheek.

Billy looked at his black trousers. “No, but I think he drooled on me.”

“Drool? I do not drool.” Mark ran his hand over his hair. “Why are you all here?”

Billy thumbed at Mark. “He took at least five valiums.”

“Mark!” Keith yelled at him.

Alex cuddled against Billy and then noticed Billy’s right hand. “Oh, no. What did you punch this time?”

“A wall.”

Jack and Steve entered the kitchen, and Alex pouted as he looked at Billy’s knuckles. “That was stupid. Why do you and Steve hit walls all the time?”

“I heard that!” Steve replied.

“I need a beer.” Jeff headed to the kitchen.

“What wall?” Carl asked.

Mark waved the question off. “Water under the bridge.”

Alex kissed Billy’s hand around his raw knuckles. “How hard was it for you?”

“I’m fine, Alex. I was just surprised. I think if you had been honest with me, I wouldn’t have walked.”

“I would have.” Mark tried to stand. “It was horrid.”

Billy helped Mark, pushing Mark on the butt to get him upright.

“Hey. My movie wasn’t horrid.”

“Naughty.” Mark wagged his finger at Billy.

“He was helping you stand.” Alex made a silly face at his father. “Stop taking pills.”

Mark used two fingers to flip Alex off, British style, and walked to the kitchen.

Adam was left staring at them.

“Yes?” Billy asked him.

“What are we going to do with you?” Adam shook his head.

“Don’t let him do anymore sex films, Lewis.”

Alex sank onto Billy’s lap, where his father had been.

Adam smiled at the two of them and joined the rest of the men in the kitchen.

Alex faced Billy, relaxing on his lap. “How did you get Dad home? I saw he was struggling to stand after the premier.”

“You saw and you left me with him? Brat.”

“Yeah. It was your punishment.” Alex grinned.

“He scares the shit out of me. He was out of it.”

“Did you think he’d OD?”

“Yes.”

Alex ran his hand over Billy’s chest, and holster. “The movie was hard to watch, even for me.”

“Why do they make you do that? Getting hard? I didn’t think that was allowed.”

“It isn’t. Not really. Jeremy was upset as well. He was sure they’d cut those scenes or darken them so they couldn’t see us.”

“Huh.”

Alex sighed. “I don’t like it when they do that. I was so afraid to let you know. Ya know, since the scenes with Jeremy made me hot.”

“Made him hot.”

Alex pouted at him. “Are you still mad?”

“No. Just disappointed.”

“Sorry.”

“Not with you. With the film producers. I really feel as though they’re using you.”

“I sort of feel that way. But, Billy. Don’t you think having the male body hidden in every film when the female body isn’t, is a little hypocritical?”

“Yes. I do. But not you. That hard dick is mine.”

Alex smiled. “Do you want to trademark it?”

“No. I want to suck it.”

Alex reached for Billy and kissed him.

Mark peeked into the living room. “There. That’s better.”

The men had a look.

“They do make a handsome couple.” Carl sipped his soft drink.

Mark could see the gang had obviously forgiven him and the Chief. All but one. He walked across the kitchen to the big gym junkie. Jack set his wine glass on the counter.

Mark stood nose to nose with Jack. “And you, He-man?”

“What about me?” Jack held Mark’s hips.

“All is forgiven?” Mark rested his arms over Jack’s shoulders, pressing their cocks together.

“Now, that’s hot.” Josh moaned.

“What’s with the pills, Richfield?” Jack raised an eyebrow.

“I took one.”

“No. You took at least four.”

“Did the Chief rat me out?” Mark looked over his shoulder.

“Yes. Cut it out!” Hunter poked Mark.

Mark leaned his nose on Jack’s. “I didn’t want to see Alexander’s dick.”

“So we’ve heard.”

“Did you enjoy it? You and Adam?”

“Don’t involve me into this debate.” Adam shook his head.

Blake said, “We get it now, Mark. None of us have kids.”

Mark looked at the men in the room. “That is true. Why is that?”

“We’re gay!” Josh tilted his head at Mark.

“You can adopt.” Mark returned his focus to Jack. “So? Am I still in the doghouse, Jackie-blue?”

“You know I can’t stay mad at you, ya nut.”

“Are you and Adam staying?”

“Do you want us to?”

“Mm.” Mark kissed him.

“Unfair!”

“Josh, go for a walk.”

Mark rested against Jack’s chest and met Josh’s gaze. “Life’s not fair, Mr Elliot. Are you just finding out now?”

“He’s a slow learner.” Tanner pulled Josh into his arms.

“That’s kind of hot.” Keith laughed.

“And no,” Jack said, “No jerk-off parties.”

Boo!’ ‘Hiss!’

Mark smiled at Jack at the reaction. “Thank you.”

“Meh. You’ve done worse.”

Mark whacked Jack’s shoulder.

Jack hugged him tight and hummed happily.

As the evening drew to a close, Adam said goodbye to the men as they left in the limousine. Carl approached him and kissed Adam. “Did I mention I got a callback on one of the auditions you sent me on?”

“Which one?”

“The superhero.”

“No!” Adam was stunned.

Keith held Carl’s waist. “You think you’re in shock. You should have seen Carl’s face when he got the call.”

“Go get ‘em, tiger.” Adam laughed.

“Maybe things are changing, Adam.”

“I hope so, Carl. Keep me posted.”

“I will. And thanks.”

Adam kissed Keith and then watched Jeff pick Mark up off his feet as he kissed him goodbye. Adam was glad Steve had convinced them to come here. If he hadn’t, who knows what would have occurred. Billy alone with a wasted Mark Antonious, and Alex and Steve wondering if…

But, their fears were in vain. Billy was guarding Mark like a Rottweiler, and none of them knew Mark had taken pills, again.

Not to mention, Steve was right. No one else had a son. Who were they to judge how Mark should feel about seeing Alex that way on the big screen.

At times Adam felt as if he were caught in the middle of the chaos. His goal was to get his talent parts in films. When he achieved that goal, it was up to the stars to make decisions on what they would or would not do. He could advise them, but that was all.

They were a unique group of men. Anything but ordinary.

And he felt very lucky to be a part of them. If he hadn’t hired Jack Larsen as his attorney, so many years ago, he would never have any of these men in his life.

“Goodbye, Josh.” Adam kissed the adorable lifeguard.

“Bye, Adam. Give Mark a good fucking for me.”

“I don’t think anyone is up to it.”

“Aw.”

“But we will tomorrow.”

Josh moaned in agony and Tanner nudged him to go outside. “Go, the limo is waiting.” Tanner kissed Adam. “I’m glad it worked out. I wasn’t keen on being angry at Mark.”

“No. Neither was I. But, we get it now. Right?”

“Right.” Tanner smiled at him and left with Josh.

He shut the door and met with Billy’s worn out gaze. “Are you two ready to go home?”

Alex was cuddling on Billy’s lap on the sofa. “Probably. Or we’ll sleep in my old room.”

“How’s the new show going?” Adam sat down beside them on a matching chair.

“Good. We’re ready to shoot the second episode already.”

“When’s it airing?”

“Oh, no. I’m not letting any of you watch it.” Alex smiled.

“Why not?” Billy raised his head from the back of the sofa.

“Just kidding. I think it airs next week.”

“Cool.” Adam stood and located Mark, Jack, and Steve in the kitchen, putting glasses into the dishwasher and cleaning up the counters. “Mark, you must be dead on your feet.”

“I am. I have no idea how I’m still upright.”

“Go to bed.” Adam waved him out.

Mark kissed Jack, then Steve, then Adam and headed to the staircase. Adam heard him talking to Billy and Alex before he went to bed.

Adam put his hands on his hips. “So? What a night, huh?”

Steve wiped his hands on a dishtowel. “One I’d sooner forget.”

“It all worked out.” Jack started the dishwasher cycle.

“Somehow it always does.” Adam yawned.

“Sleep.” Steve hooked Jack’s arm and then Adam’s, headed to the bedroom.

Mark was crouching near Alex and Billy. “I’m glad you understand. I do think it was silly of you to assume I would enjoy it, Alexander. And I mean no offense to you as an actor.”

“I know, Dad. I get it.”

“You’re a good man.”

Adam smiled to see a truce had been made. He reached out to Mark. “Time for bed.”

Mark kissed his son on the forehead, and Billy on the lips. He then joined Adam and the four of them climbed the stairs to go get ready for bed.

~

Alex caressed Billy’s cheek. “So? What will it be? Head home or crash here.”

“Home.”

Alex got to his feet, and reached to haul Billy up. Billy stood, stuffed his bowtie into his pocket, and made sure he had his phone. He walked with Alex to the front door, and Alex held it open for him.

Billy pulled the door closed behind them, and then they strolled arm in arm, back to their home.

“I really am sorry, Billy.”

“Alex, you’ve apologized enough. I’ve apologized enough, and so has Mark.”

Alex smiled and held Billy’s arm tightly as they walked. “I guess. But, you see why I couldn’t tell you?”

“No. But I understand your thought process. Alex, you have to be able to talk to me.”

“I am. I mean, I do talk to you. I just worry.”

Billy took his house keys out of his pocket. “A chip off the old block.” He opened the door and gestured for Alex to go in first.

“Yeah, what can ya do?” Alex finished undressing in the bedroom, as did Billy. They washed up together in the bathroom and then climbed into bed.

Alex held onto Billy as they snuggled under the sheets. “I’m fucking you in my mind.”

Billy laughed. “Goodnight, babydoll.”

“Goodnight, Chief.” Alex closed his eyes, and fell right to sleep.
