Autumn



For autumn the following foods and methods are recommended in nourishing and supporting all of the organs at this time of year.

Grains: brown rice, white rice, oats

Vegetables: Brussels sprouts, Asparagus, Broccoli, Celery, cauliflower, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, celery, daikon radish, onions, parsnips, watercress, mustard and turnip greens, turnips, garlic, cucumber, leeks

Beans and Pulses: Navy, Soy

Fruits: Banana, pear, apples

Fish: Bass, snapper, cod, haddock, herring, flounder, sole, halibut

Herbs and Seasonings: dill, fennel, thyme, ginger root, horseradish, cinnamon, cayenne, basil, and rosemary

Avoid / Reduce

- Salads

- Too many raw foods

- Cold drinks

- Diary

- Oily damp foods

- Alcohol

- White sugar

- White flour
