Chapter Three

RED 1

Connor finally makes it to Arlin Harbour. Arlin Harbour is about thirty miles away from the Hawthorn Bridge. Connor makes the RBM rise up to go above water. The RBM pops out of the water. Civilians on the harbour see it and are mesmerised by this new piece of technology. The RBM is now above water. Connor drives up to the wooden deck, which is joined to the harbour. There are loads of boats above water in the harbour. Most are empty and some have humans chilling out inside the cabins, while some have men and women drinking wine and beer near the stern.

Connor makes the RBM stop close to the wooden deck. He opens the door and walks out onto the deck. Connor throws his cell phone into the water. He thinks that Joel and his crew may be able to use it to track him down.

Connor speaks to see if Dylan is still there. “Dylan, are you there? Dylan? Come in, Dylan! Shit.”

The power of the Clandarian earpiece mic has run out; the mic needs to be recharged. Connor pulls it out of his ear and throws it into the water. Then he sees a guy with his wife on a boat drinking some beer.

Connor asks the guy, “Do you have a car?”

The guy replies, “Yeah, I do. Why?”

Connor pulls out his badge and says, “I’m an FBI agent and I need your car.”

The guy says, “No way, man, you can’t have it.”

Connor says, “Sir, you have two choices here: you can give me your car with or without pain. Choice A is that you give me the keys to your car and choice B is that I shoot you in the ankle and take the keys off you.” Connor shows him his gun. “What choice would you like to make?”

The guy says, “I’ll think I’ll go with choice A.”

Connor says, “That’s a very wise decision.”

The guy reaches into his pocket and pulls out a set of car keys and throws them to Connor. Connor catches the car keys.

The guy says, “It’s the BMW parked in the car park in front of the Arlin Harbour restaurant.” The guy points to the restaurant, which is across the road from Arlin Harbour. There is a small car park behind the harbour.

Connor says, “Thanks, pal.”

He runs to the car park, and the guy’s wife says angrily to her husband, “You gave away our only fucking car, you fucking dumb shit!”

The guy replies, “He was going to shoot me in the ankle, bitch!”

The guy’s wife replies angrily, “Fuck you!” She walks into the cabin of the boat.

The guy says, “I’d love to shoot you in the ankle, you fucking cunt.”

Connor is now at the car park and there’s not that many cars parked there. He sees the BMW and opens the driver’s door with the car keys. Connor gets inside the BMW, starts up the engine and drives to Van Nuys Airport. He’s taking a risk by going there; there could be agents waiting. Connor knows not to go to LAX and LAPTS. He knows that there will be agents there, waiting for him. Connor is an FBI agent; he knows how the operatives who are hunting him think.

He finally arrives at Van Nuys Airport and parks his car in the car park. Connor exits the car and walks over to one of the aircraft hangars where he sees a man fixing the engine of a plane. The man that Connor sees is called Jai. Connor walks over to Jai.

He pulls out his badge and asks, “I’m Connor Harper with the FBI. Are you a pilot?”

Jai replies, “No, but Tim is.”

Jai points over to a guy dressed in pilot gear. The pilot is called Tim.

Connor walks over to Tim and holds up his badge again and says, “I’m with the FBI. I need you to fly me to Cancun, Mexico, in a helicopter or a fully-fuelled jet.”

Connor wants to go to Cancun because he reckons that will be the last place the FBI will try to find him, and also because Cancun has a planet transport station. Connor says in his mind, If this guy doesn’t do what I say I’m going to threaten him like I did with the guy at Arlin Harbour. Tim looks at the badge and then he sees Connor’s gun in his holster and he believes that Connor is an FBI agent.

Tim thinks, Even if this guy isn’t an FBI agent I’m going to do whatever he says after seeing that he has a gun.

He says, “What is this about?”

Connor makes up a bullshit story and says, “We have a possible suspect in a robbery case who may have flown to Cancun.”

Technically Connor isn’t lying because he is the suspect who’s flying over to Cancun.

Tim says, “There’s a fully-fuelled helicopter on a helipad near Hangar 1.”

Connor says, “Let’s go.”

The keys for the helicopter are in Hangar 1; Tim and Connor both run there to collect them. Tim grabs the keys and they both run to the helicopter. They get inside and Tim checks the fuel indicator of the helicopter to make sure that he has enough fuel to fly from LA to Cancun and back. There is enough fuel in the helicopter to make two trips.

Tim starts up the helicopter and makes the helicopter fly with the flight controls. Tim flies the helicopter to Cancun. After five hours the helicopter finally makes it to Cancun. They are flying over Cancun now. It is a beautiful tropical city. Connor tells Tim to find a roof to land the helicopter. They find a heliport on the roof of the Cancun Medical Centre. Tim lands there.

Connor thanks Tim for all of his help and exits the helicopter. Tim flies back to LA. Connor runs over to the rooftop door, opens it and goes inside the medical centre. Connor runs down a flight of stairs and sees a door for the top floor. He opens the door and walks inside. Connor walks around the top floor to find an elevator. Finally finding one, he presses the elevator call button and the doors open straight away. Connor goes inside the elevator and presses the button for the ground floor. The elevator goes down to the ground floor. As it goes, the elevator stops at different floors. Visitors, patients and doctors are getting on and off to go to different floors.

The elevator reaches the ground floor. There is a reception desk there. Connor walks over to the reception desk, flashes his FBI badge and tells the receptionist that he needs a taxi to go to Cancun planet transport station.

The receptionist picks up a phone handset and places it close to her ear and dials a number on an office phone to contact a taxi service. After speaking with a taxi dispatch operator and hanging up the phone, the medical centre receptionist tells Connor that the taxi will arrive in five minutes’ time. Connor thanks the receptionist and waits outside the medical centre for the taxi. After six minutes the taxi arrives and Connor gets into the front passenger seat.

The driver asks, “Are you going to Cancun planet transport station?”

Connor replies, “Yes.”

The driver takes Connor to Cancun planet transport station. After fifteen minutes they finally arrive. Connor pays the driver, exits the car and walks to the entrance doors of the Cancun planet transport station. Cancun planet transport station is busy as usual, men, women, kids and morphian families arriving and departing. Connor walks to the space flight desk area.

The space flight desk area has space flight desks for all of the glacitone domes on Mars and on the moon. A space flight desk is where anyone can buy tickets to travel to Mars and the moon, and where passengers check in their luggage to be placed on the spacecraft they’re flying on. There is a space flight desk for each glacitone dome. There is also a space flight cruise desk for anyone who wants to go for a cruise around space and see all of the different planets.

Connor walks up to the Red 2 space flight desk. He asks the receptionist, “When is the next flight to Red 2 and are there any seats available?”

Connor wants to go to Red 2 because he suspects that there will be agents waiting for him in the First Dome.

The receptionist replies, “There is a flight going to Red 2 in thirty minutes’ time, sir, and there are seats available.”

Connor says, “I would like to go on that flight.”

The receptionist says, “Sir, would you like to sit near the aisle or the window?”

Connor answers, “I would like to sit by the window.”

The receptionist makes the booking on her computer and says, “That will be $1,000.”

Connor pays and the receptionist gives Connor the planet transport ticket and his change. Connor thanks the receptionist and walks to the security check-in. As usual, there are a lot of passengers queuing up for a standard security check before they board their planet transport ship. Connor queues up behind everyone. Minutes later, it’s Connor’s turn for a security check. He places all metallic items and belongings in a tray which is then rolled on a roller table through a security machine to be checked for anything illegal. Beside the security machine is a security detector on a computer, who examines trays for anything illegal from her computer display. Connor goes through the metal detector and passes through without any problems. At the end of the roller table there is another female security checker sitting in front of a computer. She picks up Connor’s ID.

Connor’s ID must be verified before he can take his gun on board the planet transport ship. On her computer she loads the FBI database system. She types Connor’s ID into the database and his details appear on the computer. The security checker has verified that Connor is indeed an FBI agent. He is allowed to take all of his belongings and proceed to the gate from which his flight is departing.

Connor walks into the boarding area at the gate and sits down. There are a lot of passengers here, morphians and earthlings. Connor waits for the boarding call to be announced. After twenty minutes the boarding call announces that all passengers can board the planet transport ship to Red 2.

Connor and all the other passengers go on board the ship. The planet transport ship looks like a NASA ship. The colour of the planet transport ship is light blue. Connor is inside the ship looking for his seat. He finds his seat and sits down. When all passengers are inside the planet transport ship sitting down in their allocated seats, there is an announcement from the flight attendant over the intercom.

The flight attendant says that all passengers must wear their seat belts. When the passengers hear the announcement they put on their seat belts. The type of seat belt they put on is a four-strap seat belt. They have to wear a four-strap belt because of the speed the planet transport ship travels at. Planet transport ships in space can go faster than a stealth fighter aircraft.

A passenger beside Connor speaks to him and says, “Have you ever travelled on one of these ships to Mars before?”

Connor replies, “No.”

The passenger says, “You’re going to love this, man; it’s the best ride in the park.”

The pilot announces from the intercom, “Launch will initiate in five, four, three, two, one.” After the pilot says, “one”, the three thrusters in the back of the planet transport ship make a huge sound like thunder as they burst out blue flames. The g-force of the ship forces the upper bodies of all the passengers back on their seats.

The passenger beside Connor shouts with excitement, “Yeeehawww!”

The ship is accelerating at a fast speed along the runway. After the ship builds up speed it takes off and heads for space.

Now that the ship is in space it is travelling at a lower speed, but is still going very fast. Passengers don’t have a g-force forcing them back in their seats anymore, and are able to talk to each other, eat food and watch TV on the small screens in front of them.

Connor has never been to space or Mars; he looks out from the window beside him and is mesmerised by seeing space and other planets for the very first time. After four and a half hours of travelling, the planet transport ship is very close to Mars’ atmosphere. Connor looks out of his window and sees the Balaxian cruise and battle ships and is totally blown away by the sight of them.

He’s seen Clandarian ships on TV, but never in reality. They look like the space vessels in Star Wars. Connor sees other smaller ships flying around the huge Balaxian cruise and battle spaceships. After another twenty minutes the planet transport ship is finally in the Mars atmosphere. Connor looks out of his window again and for the first time he sees Mars, the red planet, and its five glacitone domes. In the distance there are red, rocky mountains surrounding the glacitone domes. The RB-7 robots did a great job of levelling the Mars ground surface with construction equipment in order for the glacitone domes to be built.

He is totally mesmerised by looking at Mars and the glacitone domes. He sees five cities in five domes. He’s never seen a suburban city inside a dome before… well, apart from on the TV. He sees activity in all of the domes, like cars and spacecraft moving around. He also sees spacecraft flying around Mars. He sees that there are planet transport stations connected to each glacitone dome.

There is a runway leading to every planet transport station. A planet transport station is like an indoor airport. Each planet transport station is connected to its glacitone dome by two glacitone tunnels. The tunnels are used to export and import food and supplies by vehicle and spacecraft. One glacitone tunnel is used to export and import food and supplies by vehicle and the other by spacecraft. The glacitone tunnel that is used to export and import food and supplies by vehicle is also used by people and morphians to travel to the domes and planet transport stations either by a car or a bus.

Connor sees vehicles and spacecraft moving up and down in the glacitone tunnels. Inside each glacitone dome there is a small spacecraft station at the end of every tunnel, which is connected to a planet transport station. These spacecraft stations are inside the glacitone dome and are used for spacecraft to collect or deliver food and supplies, and can also be used to allow spacecraft to exit the glacitone dome to fly to another dome or planet.

There are also glacitone dome tunnels connecting the glacitone domes, allowing vehicles to travel from dome to dome. The planet transport ship moves around the five glacitone domes and a new dome and planet transport station still under construction. Connor, still looking out of his window, sees millions of RB-7 robots working hard on building the new glacitone dome and planet transport station; from his perspective they look like ants moving around a hive.

The planet transport ship moves around the glacitone dome that’s under construction, getting ready to land on the runway of PTS-R2. The planet transport ship is in line with the runway of PTS-R2. The pilot announces on the intercom that the ship will be landing shortly. The planet transport ship finally lands on the runway of PTS-R2. At the end of the runway is PTS-R2. The planet transport ship moves slowly towards it.

PTS-R2 is built with huge double doors to allow spacecraft to go in and out to transport food, equipment, people and morphians. Every planet transport station is built the same. The planet transport ship is right in front of the huge entrance doors of the spacecraft entrance of PTS-R2. A spacecraft entrance of a planet transport station is made of two sets of huge steel double doors that are opposite each other and are joined together by steel walls and a steel roof. The ground surface of a spacecraft entrance is tarmac.

The process of a spacecraft going into a planet transport station requires that the first of the two sets of huge entrance doors must open, allowing the spacecraft inside. Once the spacecraft goes past the first set of double doors and is inside the spacecraft entrance, the first set of doors will start to close and, after they are closed, the spacecraft will be in between the two sets of double doors inside the spacecraft entrance of the planet transport station.

A closed double door will be in front of and behind the spacecraft. Clandarian equipment will be used to cleanse the occupied space between the two sets of double doors of the toxins and poisonous gases of Mars. Once the toxins have been cleared the second set of doors will open up, allowing the spacecraft inside the planet transport station. As soon as the planet transport ship has gone into the planet transport station the second set of double doors will close.

The planet transport ship that Connor is in has gone through the process and is now in the planet transport station. The pilot moves the ship close to the entrance doors of the arrival gate. Drivers drive small trucks with flights of steps attached to the exit doors of the planet transport ship. They place the steps right outside the doors and the flight attendants open them. All passengers exit the planet transport ship. Connor is walking down the flight of steps and is amazed as he looks around and sees this huge indoor spacecraft hangar. He sees quite a few other planet transport ships. There are bright lights all over the roof.

Connor and the passengers go to the entrance doors of the arrival gate. Connor is now inside the planet transport station passenger building. It’s quite busy with humans and morphians walking around. The planet transport station passenger building would be as busy as Heathrow Airport. Connor goes through planet transport security, which is like airport security. He passes the security checks and is allowed to exit PTS-R2 and enter Red 2. PTS-R2 has loads of shops like an airport.

Connor sees a phone shop; he walks over and sees planet communicators on a shelve. Connor picks up a planet communicator and buys it. The planet communicator costs $500 US, which is equal to 1,000 Clandar Traden. They accept US dollars in the glacitone domes. The morphian phone retailer tells Connor that he gets free phone credit with the planet communicator. Connor thanks the phone retailer and puts the box with the planet communicator inside a plastic bag.

Connor thinks, I need a place to stay. He sees a retailer office for a hotel chain called Bedstay. Outside the office there is a huge billboard that says, We can book you a room in any Bedstay hotel in any of the glacitone domes. We can also arrange for transportation from here to your Bedstay hotel. Connor walks over to the Bedstay office. There is a hotel retailer there.

Connor speaks to the hotel retailer and asks if he could book a room at a Bedstay hotel in Red 1, and also have transportation from here to the hotel. The hotel retailer makes Connor’s arrangements. It costs $150 US for Connor’s package. Connor pays and the hotel retailer gives him booking receipts and tells him that there is coach transportation going to a Bedstay hotel in Red 1 that leaves in fifteen minutes.

Connor asks for directions to find the coach. The hotel retailer gives him directions. Connor leaves the hotel retailer office and goes through the entrance doors and leaves the PTS-R2 station. There is a huge parking garage and an outdoor car park with cars outside the station; also there are a lot of transportation coaches.

There are some civilians walking around going to their coaches and cars, and some civilians are going into the PTS-R2 station.

Connor sees a Bedstay coach with Red 1 shown on the title display above the driver’s seat. Connor knows that this is the coach he should be getting on. He walks towards the Bedstay coach, gets inside, shows the driver his receipts and sits down on a seat beside a window. The coach is half-full with earthlings and morphians. After ten minutes the Red 1 Bedstay coach takes off.

The Bedstay coach driver drives to the vehicle glacitone tunnel. The vehicle glacitone tunnel that’s connected to Red 2 is about ten miles long. The time is now 7pm. It’s getting dark on Mars. The coach is driving along inside the glacitone tunnel. Connor looks out of the window and sees a closer view of the activity inside the Red 2 glacitone dome, like cars driving around freeways and spacecraft moving around.

The coach is now driving around inside Red 2. Connor, still looking out of the window, is totally amazed by the spectacular, futuristic, sci-fi-style skyscrapers of Red 2. He has never seen skyscrapers like this before; their architecture is incredible. He sees human beings and morphians walking along the streets, citizens and immigrants eating and drinking in restaurants and retailers working in shops.

Connor thinks to himself, These morphians are just like us. He sees morphians and earthlings driving in morphian- and human-manufactured vehicles on the streets. Connor sees the glacitone window panels above the Red 2 city, and the tan sky above them. He is completely amazed; he’s never seen a city with a roof over its head before, or a city that has a tan sky. After twenty minutes of driving, the coach is now inside the glacitone tunnel that leads to the Big Rock. The Glass Tomb is quite hot today because of the heat coming from the dome radiators. The temperature of Red 1 is 37˚C today.

After another ten minutes of driving, the coach is in the First Dome.

Connor is looking out of the window throughout the whole journey. Again he is blown away by the magnificent skyscrapers of this city. This dome is bigger and busier than Red 2. It has more shops, more businesses, more restaurants, more hotels, more buildings, more entertainment, more vehicles and more drivers than Red 2. The population of the Glass Tomb is eight million.

After twenty-five minutes of driving in the First Dome the coach finally arrives at the Bedstay hotel. All passengers exit the coach and get their luggage. Connor doesn’t have any luggage so he goes straight to the reception desk. There is a morphian woman in a Bedstay uniform at the reception desk.

The woman says, “How can I help you, sir?”

When the morphians speak English their accents sound like a German or a Dutch accent.

Connor says, “I would like to check in and get a key to my room, please.”

Connor shows the receptionist his receipts. She gets the information from them and uses her computer to confirm that Connor’s reservations have been made. Then she gives Connor a key to his room and says, “I hope you enjoy your stay here.”

Connor replies, “Thank you.”

Connor takes the key and goes to his room. Connor’s room is on the first floor of the Bedstay hotel. Connor is now inside his room. He feels very nervous and paranoid about having this R-1 file. He believes that he needs to hide the file somewhere because he thinks that it may be tracked by Joel’s crew. If they can track the file, they can track him as well.

Connor looks out of his bedroom window. He sees a library across the road from the Bedstay hotel. Connor says to himself, That’s where I’m going to hide this file; if they find the file in the library they won’t find me. Connor walks out of his room, exits the Bedstay hotel and walks across the road to the library. Outside, he sees a sign on the entrance door saying that the library is open from 7am to 10pm.

Connor enters the library. It’s very quiet; there are a few inhabitants of Balaxia around reading books, and some students studying. The receptionist is at her desk on her computer, surfing the net. Connor walks around thinking about where he should hide the hard drive. He looks up at the roof and sees that it’s made from acoustic drop-ceiling panels. Connor says to himself, I could lift one of those panels and place the hard drive on top of another, but I need to be able to do it somewhere where I can’t be seen. He walks over to the toilets.

Connor enters the toilets. There is nobody in there. Connor goes inside one of the toilet cubicles, climbs onto a toilet and raises a panel of the acoustic drop-ceiling; then places the hard drive on top of another panel. Connor lowers the acoustic drop-ceiling panel he lifted, setting it back in place. He climbs down from the toilet, exits the toilets and the library, walks across the road, enters the Bedstay hotel and walks up to his room.

Connor is now in his room. He decides to give Dylan a phone call. He takes the planet communicator out of the box. The planet communicator looks like an iPhone. Connor takes off his jacket and reaches into one of its inside pockets and pulls out his small notepad and pen. He finds Dylan’s planet communicator number and dials it.

Connor puts the planet communicator up to his right ear and hears Dylan’s planet communicator ringing.

Dylan answers his planet communicator in his IT room in his house and says, “Hello?”

Connor says, “Dylan, it’s me, Connor.”

Dylan says, “Where are you now?”

Connor says, “I’m staying at a hotel in the Big Rock.”

Dylan says, “Great, man, you made it. I went into work today and they brought me in for questioning. They asked me questions like, ‘Has Connor been acting strangely lately? Did Connor say to you that he was going to go to the First Dome? Do you know where Connor is? Did Connor tell you about what he planned to do in the FBI building? Has Connor been in contact with you?’ I denied everything, I said the last time I spoke with you was a day before you took holiday leave.”

Connor says, “They might be on to you. Did anybody follow you? Have you checked your house for bugs?”

Dylan says, “I swept the house for bugs as soon as I came home from work. I told Trish to stay at her mother’s for a while, to keep her out of danger.”

Trish is Dylan’s wife.

Connor says, “Did you get Gabrielle’s phone number?”

Dylan says, “Yeah, I did, hold on a second.”

Dylan found Gabrielle’s phone number while he was at work today and stored it in his phone. He takes out his phone and finds the number.

Dylan says, “Gabrielle’s office phone number is 567-768-390-1289. She works in Red 1 law enforcement, 27th precinct.”

Connor writes down Gabrielle’s number and the number of her precinct on his notepad. “Have you seen what’s on the disk yet?”

Connor says, “No, I haven’t. I’m only going to take a look at that disk if I have some sort of backup. I think they could be tracking it. I’ve hidden the disk away from here so that they can’t track me.”

Dylan says, “I’ll run a scan check to see if they are using any tracking software. Stay on the line.”

Dylan gets on his computer and works his IT magic, using highly advanced top-secret software to see if the FBI are tracking Connor’s file. After fifteen minutes of working,

Dylan says, “I can’t find any tracking software being used. It’s weird; loads of the IT servers in the LA FBI building are offline. Those servers are usually online.”

Connor says, “Yeah, it might have something to do with those assholes going into the main server room and turning the servers into shrapnel with their machine guns.”

Dylan says, “Do you want me to come to Mars?”

Connor says, “No, man, thanks for your help. Do you have my planet communicator number?”

Dylan says, “Now that you’ve phoned me, your number will be stored on my planet communicator.”

Connor says, “I’m going to give Gabrielle a call. I’ll stay in touch.”

Dylan says, “OK, watch your ass over there.”

Connor says, “Yeah, I will, take care.”

Connor hangs up. He makes adjustments on his planet communicator, making his number private so that when he calls somebody nobody will get his number. Connor dials Gabrielle’s phone number on the planet communicator.

Gabrielle Hoffman is a beautiful African-American woman that can kick some ass. Gabrielle wanted to be involved in law enforcement from a young age. She grew up in a poor suburban area that had a lot of crime. She always wanted to make a difference in the world and help everyone. Gabrielle saw Mars and the Glass Tomb for the very first time when she moved from America to the Red Planet two weeks ago. She moved to the First Dome because she wanted to work as a Red 1 law enforcement officer as the salary is much better than that of an FBI agent. Gabrielle is in her office in the Red 1 law enforcement 27th precinct. She hears her office phone ring.

She answers the office phone and says, “Hello?”

Connor says, “Gabrielle, it’s me, Connor.”

Gabrielle says, “Connor? Connor Harper, is that you?”

Connor says, “Yeah, it’s me.”

Gabrielle says with a shocked voice, “Jesus Christ, I heard on the news that you went on a shooting rampage in LA. They named some of the agents you shot.” Gabrielle knows some of the agents who were shot, guys she used to work with. The CommDrone1 virus has been eliminated. IT experts from all of the media corporations eliminated the virus and created firewalls, protecting their corporations from the CommDrone1 virus. After the virus was eliminated, the news about the shootings in the LA FBI building and on the Hawthorn Bridge spread like a plague.

Luckily for Connor employee’s working at the Bedstay hotel haven’t seen the news and they don’t know that Connor is a suspect in multiple shootings.

Connor says, “I killed those guys in self-defence.”

Gabrielle says, “You have to turn yourself in. Where are you?”

Connor says, “I’m not telling you where I am. After I’ve seen what’s on the R-1 file you can take me in, but take me in to the CSB-R1 base.”

Gabrielle is confused and says, “R-1 file, what are you talking about?”

Connor says, “That’s what all of this is about. Joel and his crew are planning an attack on the CSB-R1 base to download top-secret information. How they plan to attack the CSB-R1 base is detailed on a disk I have.”

Gabrielle says, “The CSB-R1 base is supposed to be like a fortress; with the most advanced state-of-the-art weaponry.”

Connor says, “I want to meet up with you sometime tomorrow and show you what’s on this disk; after that you can bring me in, but bring me in to the CSB-R1 base.”

Gabrielle says, “I don’t know if I can bring you to the CSB-R1 base; I’ve heard that only CSB-R1 soldiers are allowed in there. Also, I don’t know where the base is, and I’ve heard that you need Clandarian government clearance to enter.”

Connor says, “I need to show someone from the CSB-R1 base what’s on this disk. I can’t just walk up to someone in there and tell them about what’s going to happen, they’ll think I’m crazy. I need to show them hard evidence.”

Gabrielle says, “I tell you what, you show me what’s on this disk and if you’re telling the truth and your story checks out, I’ll see what I can do to help you find the CSB-R1 base. Will we meet up now?”

Connor says, “No, not now, I want to get some rest before facing the possibility of getting chased and gunned down again. There’s a chance they might be tracking this file; they tried to kill me because I downloaded it. I have the file hidden for now.”

Gabrielle says, “How did you know about this file?”

Connor says, “It’s a long story; I’ll explain everything when we meet up.”

Gabrielle says, “Where and when do you want to meet up?”

Connor says, “I want to meet up in an open area where I can use a computer to see what’s on this disk, and in a place where I can see a distant view of people coming towards me; say, tomorrow at nine o’clock in the morning. I’m not downloading the R-1 file from a computer in your station; R1 cops will arrest me and hand me over to Joel and then Joel will either blow my head off or lock me up and throw away the key.”

Gabrielle says, “I know a place where we can meet up: Sunred Motors on 14 Dawn Rock Avenue, 9am sharp.”

Sunred Motors is a car dealership company.

“In front of the Sunred Motors building they have a huge car park, and at the front side of the building they have huge glass windows; if you’re inside Sunred Motors you can see people coming into the car park from a mile away. They also have computers there that you can use to see what’s on this disk.”

Connor says, “OK, that’s fine. I’ll meet you there, but Gabrielle, come alone.”

Gabrielle says, “I will.”

She hangs up the phone and speaks to her partner in front of her desk and says, “The guy who I was speaking with on the phone just now was Connor Harper. He’s the FBI agent who was reported on the news of going on a shooting rampage in LA. I’ve known him for years. He wants me to meet up with him tomorrow at 9am at Sunred Motors. He said he killed those agents in self-defence, and that Joel Davis and other agents are trying to kill him.”

Gabrielle’s partner is called Gragon. Gragon is a Clandarian morphian. Gragon is huge; he’s six foot tall and has the physique of a bodybuilder. When Gragon speaks English his accent sounds like an Austrian accent. Gragon also saw the Big Rock for the very first time when he moved there from Red 2 three weeks ago. Gragon transferred from a Red 2 law enforcement precinct to the Red 1 law enforcement 27th precinct because his fiancée got a job in the Big Rock. Gragon was ordered by his superior officer in the Red 1 precinct to become partners with Gabrielle. Gabrielle and Gragon are like tourists in the First Dome, and day by day they are gradually getting to know their way around.

Gragon says, “Do you believe him?”

Gabrielle replies, “I don’t know, but I want you to be there when I meet up with him tomorrow, and another thing, don’t tell anyone about this.”

Gragon says, “Sure, no problem.”

In Connor’s room in the Bedstay hotel, Connor checks the planet communicator box to see if his number is written anywhere. The number for Connor’s planet communicator is not written on the box. Connor grabs the box, exits his room, exits the hotel and fires the planet communicator box into the bin. The reason why Connor checked the box for his number and put the box in the bin is because he doesn’t want anybody to know the number for his planet communicator, and also he doesn’t want anybody to know that he has one.

Connor walks back into the hotel and up to his room, and sets a wake-up alarm call on his planet communicator for 8am. Connor takes off his shoes, jacket and gun holster and decides to go to bed to sleep.
