- To help cement principle #3 into that beautiful mind and heart of yours, rewrite in your own words what pattern is here.Rewrite in your own words how God uses this principle in our lives.
- If you are in a painful season, filter it through the following patterns and record how they can specifically help you persevere through whatever is happening. Or if life is dandy, how can these patterns help you persevere in future seasons that will be hard?Pattern of forever:Pattern of forgiveness:Pattern of fun:Also consider this: What would it mean if these patterns of God were not true? What if God wasn’t for “forever”? What if he did not forgive? And heavens, what if God was not fun? I shudder to think what this would mean.
- Here’s an additional pattern I encourage you to look up and learn: the pattern of God’s fortification or protection. God is our ultimate defender, rock, fortress, or protector. Scripture will use varying words within this pattern, but what a comfort it is to know that God has our back. I encourage you to remember that God is on your side whenever you feel outnumbered or think that all is lost. Look up the following verses and see if you can find additional ones within the pattern of fortification: Psalm 34:19; 46:1; 91:2; Isaiah 54:17; and 2 Thessalonians 3:3.
