I'm pretty new to this gig. I mean, I've been an avid reader since I was, well, tiny. I can read a full-length novel in one day. But as far as putting my own story to paper? A totally new thing for me.
How did it all start? Well, I'm the type of person who needs some kind of creative outlet. In the past, that's meant a lot of projects, traveling (mostly local), and photography.
So, in this time of worldwide quarantine, my normal creative options were mostly out. That left me turning to books and, eventually, to writing.
I've always loved to read, and I practically devour books on Kindle Unlimited. I often predict the ending well before it happens. I see missed opportunities. Endings that SHOULD have happened. I agonize over gaping plot holes. So, I thought I'd take a shot at it myself and began writing in one of my favorite genres, Urban Fantasy.
So far, it's been an enjoyable challenge. I now have a whole heaping pile of respect for authors who are making it. They are incredible. Thanks for coming along on the adventure!
