While I was researching this book I came across a campaign called Witches of Scotland. It’s run by Claire Mitchell QC and author Zoe Venditozzi and is calling for a pardon for the people convicted of witchcraft, an apology to those accused and convicted, and a national memorial. You can follow the campaign at www.witchesofscotland.com and sign their petition.
Zoe and Claire also have a podcast, also called Witches of Scotland, which is entertaining and fascinating, and was very helpful in my research. If you’re interested in witch-hunts, I really recommend checking it out.
