CHARLES R. MORRIS has written twelve books, including The Cost of Good Intentions, a New York Times Best Book of 1980; The Coming Global Boom, a New York Times Notable Book of 1990; The Tycoons, a Barrons’ Best Book of 2005; and The Trillion-Dollar Meltdown, winner of the Gerald Loeb Award and a New York Times Bestseller. A lawyer and former banker, Mr. Morris’s articles and reviews have appeared in many publications including the Atlantic Monthly, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. He is a fellow of the Century Foundation and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
