(Jim MacDonald’s poem)
Gargantuan, colossus, often god-like,
Omnipresent guardian of the goal.
A giant amongst mortals, superhuman,
Lord of the area he patrols.
Keeper of the nets – he keeps them empty –
Everything he touches he controls.
Even power blasters or deflections,
Perfect timing, wondrous to behold:
Ever the invincible MacDonald,
Reflexes of lightning, touch of gold.
