What part of the vertebrae can you touch on someone’s back? 4. Describe the location of the spinal cord and how the nerves emerge from it. 5. How does movement affect the spinal discs? Why is it important to move the spine in all the directions it can move? 6. Define kyphosis, lordosis and scoliosis. 7. Name the group of deep and small back muscles. 8. Name the two deep and large back muscles. 9. Name the three-part intermediate layer back muscle that is our main back-bending muscle. 10. Name the two superficial muscles on the back. 11. Choose five yoga poses and analyze the spinal actions in each, naming as many of the muscles involved as you can. Include the fascial connections to other parts of the body as well.
