John Bargh, PhD, is a social and cognitive psychologist and one of the world’s leading experts on the unconscious mind. His research has appeared in more than 180 publications, and has won many major awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and both the Early (1989) and Distinguished (2014) Scientific Contribution Awards from the American Psychological Association. Bargh was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2011. He is currently the James Rowland Angell Professor of Psychology at Yale University and director of the ACME (Automaticity in Cognition, Motivation, and Evaluation) Laboratory.
