CHAPTER 23
Puhkke
My Ru needed rest, much more than me. I was wired. This was a joyous day and I wasn’t ready for it to end just yet. She’d gone back to bed, but not before showing me how to work her remote and telly-vish-yon. I was relieved to know the thing was just an idiot box, as she’d called it, a boob tube. I loved her boobs. I might like this telly-vish-yon, too.
Flipping through the channels, having already watched several of her moo-vees, I stopped on a colorful drawn colorization of characters. They all had high voices, leading me to think they were children or small adult humans. Frowning, watching, I soon found myself engrossed. This child meant to catch them all. It was some kind of serialized drawn documentation of his journeyings. Did these kinds of creatures once exist on this Earth? Where were they now? Did the young lad ever fully catch them all?
That was how my Ru found me, struggling to keep my eyes open but unwilling to look away. I had to know what happened next! And the next episode, as they called them, and the next!
A noise of discontent left me when my bride turned the telly-vish-yon off with a funny look, like she was fighting humor at my groan, and demanded I go to her bed chamber to rest.
I am unaware of how long I slept or when exactly I’d fallen to my dreams, but when I awoke, she claimed dusted bunnies had made off with her remote! Those fiends!
