Epilogue
Falcon
Three years later
Iris is enjoying herself outside with our daughter, my brothers, my parents, and our sisters-in-law. After Iris and I got together and made it clear that we were in it for life, Iris’s parents began to tolerate me. We only see them twice a year, but it doesn’t matter. Our home is here in Bearclaw Ridge. Where we started a family. Where we want to grow old together.
I quickly wipe a tear of happiness away before Titan can see me. I’ll never hear the end of it otherwise.
“Are these ready?” Titan asks.
He points to the plate of hamburger patties I’ve been making. My daughter turns two today, and the entire Kingsley family is here to celebrate.
“Yup, take them outside.”
He disappears from the kitchen, and I let out a content sigh before grabbing a plate with hamburger buns and heading outside too.
Iris’s face lights up when she sees me. I put my arm around her waist and give her a passionate kiss.
We both give our daughter an adoring look.
“We did great, didn’t we?” Iris asks.
“Absolutely. How about making another baby?” I whisper.
She grins. “That would be a dream come true. Tonight?”
I laugh. “Tonight.”
“I love you,” she says.
“I love you too.”
I look around my backyard and smile. My brothers and I all found love. I have an amazing wife and daughter. And RidgeRoam Adventure Tours has never been more successful.
My is heart full. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better life than the one I’m living.
