Jellyfish Morton

This morning out walking I saw

A jellyfish playing piano on the shore

The hottest jazz, the coolest blues

I started to dance in my shiny shoes

‘What’s your name?’ I asked

When he stopped for tea

‘Jellyfish Morton,’ he said

‘And you can take it from me

It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got no sting.’

Then he slipped back into the sea.
