The TurboStrategy Process

 

 

The ideas and concepts described in this book are drawn from my twenty-five years of strategic planning and work with more than 500 companies in the United States, Canada, and twenty-three foreign countries.

In my TurboStrategy process, I spend two or three days working with my clients to crystallize these ideas into a blueprint and a plan of action.

When you apply these concepts to your business, you will develop greater clarity and commitment to your values, vision, mission, purpose, and goals. You will learn how to identify your key result areas and determine your competitive advantages, both existing and potential.

These techniques will help you to analyze your company, inside and out, and decide upon new goals, plans, activities, measures of performance, and responsibilities.

As the result of this TurboStrategy process, you will be able to simplify and streamline your operations, increase sales, revenues, and cash flow, cut costs, and boost your profits—sometimes overnight.

You will achieve new breakthroughs regarding your products, services, customers, markets, and future opportunities.

You will learn to practice the three R’s of business success in every area of your business. First, you will continuously reevaluate every product, every service and activity, and every person who works in your company.

These TurboStrategy ideas are tailored and customized to your unique situation. They are modified to fit your business, your products and services, your customers and markets, your people and processes. The application of these ideas is different for every company.

The Three Steps

There are basically three steps in my TurboStrategy process. They are Pre-work, Course work, and Implementation.

In the pre-work, each participant is required to complete a detailed analysis of the existing business and its operations. A copy of this pre-work is returned to me to enable me to tailor our strategy work together so that is very specific to your current business.

In the two-day intensive strategic planning process, we thoroughly evaluate your business; determine your guiding values, vision, mission, purpose, and goals for the next one to three years; and develop a blueprint for action.

We study each product and service area as it relates to the current market, the competition, and the future. We decide on your marketing, sales, and promotional strategy to generate increased sales, income, and cash flow.

We examine the critical issues, both inside and outside the company, that affect success and growth. We make decisions about what needs to change and how these changes can best be made.

Finally, we reduce the entire planning process to specific action commitments and responsibilities, complete with measurements and timelines.

Each participant emerges from the TurboStrategy session with greater clarity and direction, ready to take action and get better results. Afterwards, I summarize the results and decisions of the session for evaluation and review and to serve as a guide for the future.

We provide all of the written materials necessary to assure the maximum value and effectiveness of the process. I remain available to you as an advisor, consultant, and assistant to ensure the implementation of the strategy of the strategic plan throughout the organization.
