STRAWBERRY, ALMOND AND CARDAMOM SMOOTHIE

SERVES 1

6 large strawberries

¼ tsp ground toasted cardamom (here)

1 tsp grated fresh ginger

3 dates, pitted

A pinch of sea salt

1 cup (250 ml) fresh almond milk (see recipe, right) or store-bought

A few ice cubes

Honey, to taste

Mix all the ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth. Sweeten to taste with a little honey (although I find if the strawberries are nice and sweet you don’t need to).

NOTE

You could make this creamy smoothie with regular milk or any other nut milk, but I do especially love it with freshly made almond milk.
