Making Stamps

You can make texture stamps by taking a hunk of clay, shaping a handle and flattening the other end. You can carve, poke or mark a pattern into the flat end, let it fully dry/cure, and you have an excellent tool for stamping texture into all kinds of clay. If you want your stamp edge to be flatter, just sand it with a flat piece of sandpaper.

STEP ONE: Shape the clay into a cone shape.

STEP TWO: Add a design to the flattened end and allow it to dry.

STEP THREE: Use these stamps to emboss almost any type of clay/alternative in this book.
