You can carve Styrofoam into the shape of an animal, buy small paper mache or plastic animal forms, or go to a taxidermy supply store to get a life-size mold of your favorite animal to apply resin clay over. You can cover forms that aren’t animals, too.
STEP ONE: Cover a small plastic animal form in resin clay.
STEP TWO: Add glass, plastic or bead eyes while the clay is still pliable.
STEP THREE: Add buttons, beads or any other embellishments you choose before the resin clay starts to set up (about 3 hours).
