Stencilling

Working with a buttery consistency of clay, you can spread it over a stencil for a raised stencil look. You can even stencil it on Plexiglas, but to make it permanent you need to spray it with a gloss acrylic varnish. It sticks well to canvas and panel.

A buttery consistency of ClayShay was applied through a stencil onto Plexiglas; painted and round beads were added. The piece was sprayed with a gloss acrylic varnish and placed on top of an image transfer created with Crystal Clear. (See my book Image Transfer Workshop to learn more about transfers.)
