Mix up a thin slip consistency of ClayShay and dip or pour the mixture over any object or fabric. After it dries, you have completely changed the visual nature of these dipped pieces, essentially changing them into clay objects that can be painted or finished or just left in their natural clay state. A whole assemblage of objects finished this way could be used in a mixed-media art piece, or just one or two items could be used in a collage.
Find an object that you want to dip (in this case, a doll dress) and dip it into the thin slip mixture.
Position the object how you want it to look when dry, and then let the object dry.
Applying paint and glaze will change the look. This piece was sprayed with metallic silver paint and then brushed with a dark acrylic glaze.
