Cast a head, then mold a body over aluminum foil as shown in the chapters on casting and aluminum foil armatures. Create a scene and add your character to it to create a visual story. The paper mache takes paint wonderfully, so it is a real pleasure to work with.
STEP ONE: Cast a paper mache doll head in a silicone mold. Then mold a paper mache bee body over aluminum foil and add marks.
STEP TWO: Once it’s dry, add an allover color. Once that is dry, add another color over it for dimension and texture.
STEP THREE: Glue the doll to a background and add embellishments to create your visual story.
