CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Fiber Paste

PARTY CROWN

Darlene Olivia McElroy

Fiber paste on stiff netting with fiber paste stencil, rhinestones, gold paint and glitter.

Kind of like clay but kind of not, fiber paste has the feel of a thick slurry of grouted clay, but the dried result is more like handmade paper. In addition, you can cut it, sew it and print on it. It is easy to tint using acrylic paints, and things adhere well to it because of its polymer base. It does take time to dry (sometimes overnight).
