To create molded plastic, place your plastic strip facedown into a silicone mold and heat it with a heat gun until the plastic sinks down into the mold. Let it cool before removing it from the mold. While it is still hot you can pull pieces of the plastic out into string-like shapes. Trim edges after the plastic has cooled.
STEP ONE: Lay a plastic strip on top of the mold and heat it. The strip will droop into the mold.
STEP TWO: Let the plastic cool completely before removing.
STEP THREE: Trim off the excess plastic.
