Menu-You Bush

The Menu-You Bush was discovered when a famished explorer (who shall not be named) broke the cardinal rule of foraging: Never eat an unknown fruit. Luckily, she chose the fluorescent-orange-and-pink-striped fruit of the Menu-You Bush, which somehow (don’t ask me how) tastes exactly like whatever the cuisine the eater wants most. It certainly makes the perfect dinner for weary jungle trekkers. But beware! This carnivorous plant (not the only one around, by the by) uses its fruit TO lure prey into its jawlike leaf-trap. Like its diminutive cousin the Venus flytrap, the Menu-You Bush will begin digesting its prey after five movements. The trap cannot be pried open from the outside, so if you happen to be on the Menu-You’s menu, act with speed and deliberation and apply pressure to the petiole!

Habitat: On the banks of freshwater sources

Population Estimate: Abundant and ravenous

Disposition: This bush is frightful, but its fruit is delightful!
