CLAUDIA COUTU RADMORE first met Len Budgell in Winnipeg when he was about to retire from The Hudson’s Bay Company. Their friendship led to a written correspondence when she went to Queen’s University for a B.F.A. degree.
Claudia is a Montrealer who writes and paints in Carleton Place, Ontario. A former teacher who has taught in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and China, Claudia trained teachers in the South Pacific for three years. Her first publication was a pre-school manual in Bislama, one of the national languages of Vanuatu.
As a member of The Canadian League of Poets, Haiku Canada, and Kado Ottawa, she writes and edits prose, lyric poetry, and Japanese-form poetry, and has been published internationally in these fields. She is the author of a minute or two/without remembering, lyric poems spoken in the voices of her French-Canadian ancestors who settled in New France.
