Day 13

Friday 24th June 1994

Berlin: The Volkskammer will today debate Dr. Kaminsky’s bill to dissolve the Round Tables. The bill will face a rough passage through parliament after documents were leaked alleging co-operation between Dr. Kaminsky and far-right parties.

Round Tables and Worker’s Councils throughout the GDR have responded with calls for mass meetings and demonstrations.

Berlin: Martin Grobe, the suspect in the Krause shooting, has escaped from prison. Grobe’s absence was discovered by staff at Rummelsburg prison yesterday morning. The former Republikschutz officer was on remand for the murder of Hanna Krause, the Chair of the Central Round Table.
