If downsizing is a necessity, consider selling items of clothing, personal accessories, home appliances and devices, and other junk you may have accumulated over the years, and using the additional money towards your shipping container home project. You can even consider donating other items in good condition to local charitable organizations which can put them to good use, or directing any financial proceeds towards environmental causes you may have discovered as you research on your container home plans.
