About the Authors

Jim George was senior lecturer at the Australian National University, where he taught international relations and international relations theory before retiring in 2012. He is the author/coauthor of five books, including Discourses of Global Politics (1994) and two editions of Introduction to International Relations (2007, 2012) and more than thirty articles in leading international relations journals. He taught international relations and international relations theory at the Australian National University for twenty-five years before retiring in 2012. He now lives in Canberra, Australia.

Stephen J. Rosow is professor of political science at the State University of New York at Oswego, where he teaches political theory and global studies. He is the author (with Walter Opello) of Nation-State and Global Order (1999, 2004), has edited books on critical international political economy and the future of the university, and has published articles on democratic theory, enlightenment political thought, and critical international relations theory.
