Have a Proposal

Before approaching gift shops, farmer’s market or any food stores make sure you have prepared a sales proposal. A great proposal is one that includes an overview of your entire product line including how they are made, what ingredients you use and the sizes, shapes, and flavors you carry.

Provide a description of how your jams and jellies are different from others. Have a breakdown of price points for each size and outline how much inventory you have on hand or how quickly you can produce new jams and jellies. You should have some product samples and ask to meet with the shop owner or purchasing manager to discuss your product.
