about the author
Alex Woolf has been “writing” stories since before he could write, crafting narratives while playing with toy soldiers in the attic of his childhood home. He’s always been fascinated by the supernatural, and he longs to see a ghost, though he’s sure he’d turn to jelly if he ever did. He is, quite literally, scared of his own shadow, and he wrote this book in the hope of curing himself. It didn’t work! Alex’s debut novel was a science-fiction tale called Chronosphere: Time Out of Time, published by Scribo in 2011. Two more Chronosphere novels followed. In February 2013, his fourth novel, Aldo Moon and the Ghost of Gravewood Hall, was published. It’s about a Victorian teenage ghost-hunter – exactly the kind of person Alex would have liked to be if he’d been a bit braver!
