AVOIDING BEET STAINS
Prepping beets always leaves our cutting boards with dark stains that discolors other foods we put on it. Instead of stopping to wash the board, we found that simply giving its surface a light coat of vegetable oil spray before chopping does the trick. This thin coating adds no discernible slickness and allows you to quickly wipe the board clean with a paper towel before proceeding with the next task.
