- Saferelationshipsmagazine.com — The website of Sandra A. Brown, MA, offers resources related to abuse recovery from unhealthy relationships.
- Baggagereclaim.com — A website dedicated to individuals healing from relationships with emotionally unavailable people (including narcissists). The owner, Natalie Lue, is not a licensed therapist. However, her writings are pertinent and insightful, interspersed with humor, hope and encouragement.
- Lisaescott.com — This site is the home of the Path Forward online forum and support network for survivors of narcissistic abuse. As with any blog, use discernment to determine if appropriate for your needs as a survivor.

- The Three Faces Evil: Unmasking the Full Spectrum of Narcissistic Abuse (2015) by Christine Louis de Canonville — This is a great book on The Dark Triad (narcissism, malignant narcissism and psychopathy) and an understanding the basics of narcissistic abuse.
- Help! I am in Love with a Narcissist (2005) by Steven Carter and Julia Sokol — This book is an excellent primer for those leaving narcissistically abusive relationships.
- Women Who Love Psychopaths: Inside the Relationships of Inevitable Harm With Psychopaths, Sociopaths & Narcissists (2010) by Sandra L. Brown — This is an empowering and insightful book, chock full of evidence-based studies; illuminating.
- Without Conscience: The Disturbing World of Psychopaths Among Us (1999) by Robert D. Hare, Ph.D. — An eye-opening analysis of those on the extreme end of narcissism.
- Emotional Vampires: Dealing With People Who Drain You Dry (2012) by Albert J. Bernstein, Ph.D. — This book offers good advice and outlines different forms of “emotional vampires,” complete with humorous caricature drawings.
- Emotional Blackmail: When the People in Your Life Use Fear, Obligation, and Guilt to Manipulate You (1998) by Susan Forward, Ph.D. — This book can help increase discernment and protection against emotional abuse tactics.
- Why Is It Always About You? The Seven Deadly Sins of Narcissism (2003) by Sandy Hotchkiss, LCSW — Very helpful.
- The Wizard of Oz and Other Narcissists: Coping With the One-Way Relationship in Work, Love, and Family (2002) by Eleanor D. Payson, MSW — Excellent book using the perfect analogy of that famous movie.
- Narcissistic Lovers: How to Cope, Recover and Move On (2007) by Cythnia Zayn and Kevin Dibble, MS — An empowering book with great information.
- Splitting: Protecting Yourself While Divorcing Someone With Borderline or Narcissistic Personality Disorder (2011) by Bill Eddy, LCSW, and Randi Kreger — A helpful book for those entangled in legal circumstances involving partners with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) or borderline personality disorder (BPD).
- Stop Walking on Eggshells: Taking Your Life Back When Someone You Care About Has Borderline Personality Disorder (2010) by Paul Mason, MS, and Randi Kreger — A good read in terms of understanding BPD — a cousin of NPD.
- Malignant Self-Love: Narcissism Revisited (2015) by Sam Vaknin — This book is written by a self-professed narcissist. It is quite wordy but also an interesting read.
- Freeing Yourself From the Narcissist in Your Life: At Home, at Work, With Friends (2013) by Linda Martinez-Lewi, Ph.D. — A comforting and supportive read.
- The Betrayal Bond: Breaking Free of Exploitive Relationships (1997) by Patrick Carnes, Ph.D.
