The Steelers have long cultivated an image of a hard-hitting, physical team that reflects the sensibilities of their blue-collar city. But the Steelers have some history with the silver screen and no one has had more of a presence on it than former quarterback Terry Bradshaw.
Bradshaw started appearing in movies while he was still playing and has had small roles in a handful of movies, including The Cannonball Run. Bradshaw’s biggest role on screen came in 2006 when he played Matthew McConaughey’s father in Failure to Launch.
Bill Cowher has appeared in a handful of movies, including The Waterboy, an Adam Sandler flick that is so bad it’s funny.
Even longtime Steelers beat writer Ed Bouchette has gotten into the act. Bouchette, who has covered the Steelers since the 1980s for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, has a cameo in Invincible to his credit.
