Some of these stories first appeared in English in Voices Made Night, in 1990, and Every Man Is a Race, in 1994, both published in Oxford, U.K., by the Heinemann African Writers Series and translated by David Brookshaw, or in Rain and Other Stories, published in 2019 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, by the Biblioasis International Translation Series and translated by Eric M.
