David’s fame spread through all lands, and the Lord made all the nations fear him.

1 Chronicles 14:17

What’s your legacy gonna be? When you’re dead and gone, what are people going to remember about you and treasure that was yours? How will they be better because you existed? Generations from now, is your family tree going to be different because of who you are today and who you’re gonna be tomorrow?

When you’re young you can feel like you have no control over future generations, but then something starts to change in you, and you start to think about things like how your life is gonna make a difference. You see that every decision you’ve made affects not only you but also the people who love you and even the ones who will never even know you but will hear stories about your life generations from now. If your spiritual heritage is noble or pathetic it doesn’t make much difference, because starting with you your family history is changing. It’s either getting healthier or getting sicker. Even though historical books of the Bible can sometimes be boring, we need them so that we don’t forget where we’ve come from so we know where we can go.

As a God Girl you can give hope to not only your family but your generation by being a shining light in the darkness, a girl of peace and hope. Think about how one guy, David, changed the world, and then think about how your life can make a difference to your generation and even ones to come. It’s up to you: are you gonna change today and start thinking of your devotion to the Savior as something that can empower you to make life matter, or are you gonna stay lost in your own powerlessness and need? For the God Girl the answer is clear: change today and every day to move in the direction of faith. Know what you believe and why you believe it. Learn to live up to the name of God Girl, and the world won’t soon forget you.
