I trust you, O Lord.
I said, “You are my God.”

Psalm 31:14

The Lord never made a promise he’s not gonna keep. It’s impossible for him to promise something and not do it, because that would make him a liar. If God were a liar, then God he would not be holy but sinful. And God cannot sin; therefore, God cannot lie. Make sense? Knowing that, now you can be sure that any promise he makes, he’s gonna keep. You can trust that he will always protect, guard, and bless those who obey him, because he is holy and he promised it. He promises to never walk away from those who love him (see Heb. 13:5), and those who love him are the ones who do his will (see John 14:23; 1 John 2:5).

As a God Girl you have to be confident in God’s Word and sure of his promises. Then when hard times come you can rely on the truth and live in the peace of knowing that he will truly work everything together for your good (see Rom. 8:28). In this life a lot of people are gonna disappoint you. They will reject you, walk out on you, and even hate you. But God’s character can’t be judged based on the sinful character of humanity. God can be trusted, even when things look completely bleak. When trials come and God seems silent, you can still be sure that he is present. If he wasn’t, then he wouldn’t be God. By his very nature he knows everything (he’s omniscient) and he is everywhere (he’s omnipresent). The God Girl knows her God, so she knows that no matter how things look or feel, everything is well. She trusts that when she looks for him, she will find him and that if she trusts him, he will bring her only what is good for her.
