A person may plan his own journey,
but the Lord directs his steps.

Proverbs 16:9

The God Girl’s number one goal is to know Christ. Because of that she never believes that the things that happen to her are just coincidence or luck, but she believes that everything that she is dumped down into is meant to teach her more about God. The God Girl has to think like this, looking for God’s hand in everything, because if she doesn’t she’ll just keep experiencing the same kinds of things over and over again until she gets it.

A lot of believers give the enemy more power than he really has when they give him credit for things he had nothing to do with. Instead, you should think about everything that happens to you as allowed by God and therefore useful for your spiritual growth. Then you don’t give the enemy more credit than he deserves, and you don’t waste the chance to obey on running away or sitting around worrying yourself to death about the enemy’s hand in your life. Forget him—God’s hand is bigger!

A lot of girls are controlled by fear, stress, and worry. They grow up thinking thoughts that are inconsistent with faith. They act on those fears and make decisions based on them, and because of that they are always controlled by the god of their emotions, not the God of all creation. But the God Girl isn’t a fearful girl because she has faith in the God who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and always present. She knows that nothing happens by chance and that her days are numbered not by fate but by God. When a girl knows this truth and lives by it, she grows into a confident and fearless woman who, unlike the rest of the world, is free from the chains of worry and fear.
