Whoever shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will call and not be answered.
Proverbs 21:13
Are you guilty of mistreating the poor? You have the things and money that they need, but you never deliver it to them because you are so used to looking at everything you get as being for your own good. Can you be trusted with delivering what is needed to God’s people? When you take a look at God’s Word, you see that your stuff is not your own and was meant to be shared with people who need it more.
But how can that happen when you have so little? You’re not rolling in it. You’re lucky to get what you need for yourself. Well, think about the widow who gave away her last two coins. Jesus said, “I can guarantee this truth: This poor widow has given more than all the others. All of these people have given what they could spare. But she, in her poverty, has given everything she had to live on” (Luke 21:3–4). As a God Girl what you do today determines your path tomorrow. Learn while you are young to give to the poor. Don’t hoard what you have. It’ll all mean nothing to you in the kingdom of heaven. So give, give, give, and be happy.
