Jacob, why do you complain?
Israel, why do you say,
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
and my rights are ignored by my God”?

Isaiah 40:27

Do you ever feel like doing good is a giant waste of time because no one ever notices? Or worse yet, they think you are being bad when you are being good? You get no respect, and it’s no fair. But never mind if you don’t get the respect you deserve. Never mind if you work hard on something and never get the credit for it. Don’t look for fame and approval from people. Don’t scratch and fight to be recognized. You aren’t working for people but for eternity, and your reward won’t be now but later. It’s much better to invest in eternity than in today.

As a God Girl your only goal should be doing the will of God, not getting approval from other people. You have to trust God to bless you for the things you do to serve him here on earth. He promises blessing to those who do good. When he says you will get your reward for whatever you do, he isn’t lying. You have to trust the economy of God—everything you do will either build your inheritance in heaven or tear it down. Work for blessing by sowing goodness and mercy, by serving in peace and in hope, and by trusting him, rather than people, for your reward.
