Don’t let anyone look down on you for being young. Instead, make your speech, behavior, love, faith, and purity an example for other believers.
1 Timothy 4:12
Do you ever feel like adults are looking down on you? Let it be because they don’t know you, not because they do. Your actions, your words, and your love are the ways others know you truly are a God Girl. If they judge that you are bad based on some false idea of who you are, then be thankful that it is false. Would you rather they look down on you because of how you act, talk, or love instead? No, your life should be proof of your faith. People will know you are a believer by how you act, so act like one.
You can’t let people look down on you because you act immature. Just being young can’t be an excuse to misbehave. Joining the crowd and doing things just because everyone else is doing them makes you a follower, not an example. The God Girl is a leader of people and a follower of God, not the other way around. So follow his lead in everything. A lot of people might think you’re not old enough to make a difference in this world, but remember that some of the people who made the most spiritual impact on the world in history were teenagers. Youth isn’t an obstacle unless you choose to act your age. Enjoy your youth, but rise above the insanity of defying God just to fit in or have fun. Make sure people look favorably on you because even though you are young, you already act godly and mature. When you think about the fact that others are watching you and making decisions about who God is based on how you act, it’s a sobering thought. Don’t let them look down on you, but help them to look up to him.
